ArtNiluh & Cukilin Team
In this artistic 2 hours workshop you can design and carve linoleum to create your own unique stamp. You will print your design on a mask (we are all looking for cool masks these days!) and of course, you can then take your work back home with you.
Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut. The material we work with is linoleum, which was first manufactured in 1860 as a floor covering material. This linoleum is made of rubber and linseed oil with a hessian backing. The material is softer than wood, which makes it easier to cut into the surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge.
Niluh Pangestu and Ping Ping are artists who do printmaking and painting, based in Bali. They also have their own unique art merchandise: lino-stamp, lino-mask, digital mask, scarf, tote bag and a lino-pouch. This year they started offering workshops around Bali to introduce printmaking to the public, especially linocut. They hope this workshop will give a chance to the participants to make their own innovative and creative artwork.
This workshop is also open for children starting from 10 year old.
