Dapur Usada is the first restaurant of its kind, and we pride ourselves on how we honour the spices and flavours of Indonesian food, across the archipelago, as well as the tastes and aromas of Indian culinary tradition. In both cultures, food is a sacred offering to the body, and a vehicle for connection with others. Ayurveda also sees food as medicine – we strive to offer you innovative food that nourishes body and soul, delights your taste-buds and provides shared enjoyment.
‘Dapur’ in the Indonesian language means ‘kitchen’, and at Dapur Usada, we source the best of Indonesia’s diverse ingredients and combine them in unique and innovative ways, while respecting the principles of Ayurveda - “the science of life”. This is the Indo-vedic philosophy: eating as a holistic experience that brings you creative and healthy plant-based dishes, while respecting regional wisdom and a knowledge of nutrition for wellness and healing.
