Discover Energy Hygiene
Most of us understand the importance of physical hygiene. We wash our hands, care for our bodies, eat nourishing food, and try to get enough rest. We may also recognise the value of mental wellbeing through mindfulness, therapy, or meditation.
But how often do we think about energy hygiene?
At Usada Bali, Dr. Krisna’s Introduction to Pranic Healing offers a practical exploration into the energetic dimension of our wellbeing. Rather than asking participants to adopt a particular belief system, the workshop introduces a structured approach. On understanding how energy, or life force, has been recognised across cultures for thousands of years.
In Sanskrit it is known as prana. Whilst in Chinese traditions it is called qi. In Japan, ki. Across Polynesian cultures, mana. Although the names differ, they all describe the same universal life force that animates living beings.

Energy as a Practical Skill
One of the distinguishing features of Pranic Healing is that it approaches energy as something that can be studied and developed through practice. During the workshop, participants are introduced to the theory behind the energy body, the aura, and the chakra system. Before learning simple techniques that begin developing energetic sensitivity.
Many people are surprised to discover they can begin sensing energy with their own hands or even perceive subtle aspects of the aura through guided exercises. These experiences often shift energy from being an abstract idea into something personally observable.
Understanding the Energy Body
Pranic Healing teaches that alongside our physical body exists an energetic body that supports our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
Within this energy body are chakras, often described as energy centres or transformers. Each chakra is associated with particular physical organs as well as emotional and psychological functions.
While many traditions speak of seven chakras, Pranic Healing works primarily with eleven major chakras, each playing a unique role within the body’s energetic system.
Participants are introduced to how energetic imbalances may influence different aspects of wellbeing, and how restoring energetic balance is one of the aims of Pranic Healing practice.

The Body’s Natural Ability to Recover
A central principle introduced during the workshop is what Pranic Healing calls the Law of Self-Recovery.
Our bodies are naturally designed to repair and restore themselves. Whether recovering from physical exertion, emotional stress, or illness, the body continually works toward balance.
Pranic Healing proposes that life force supports these natural processes. Rather than replacing medical care, energy work is presented as a complementary practice that seeks to support the body’s own capacity for recovery and wellbeing.
This perspective is illustrated with simple examples. Antibiotics may eliminate bacteria, but it is ultimately the body itself that carries out the healing process. Pranic Healing focuses on supporting the energetic environment in which these natural restorative processes occur.
Why Energy Hygiene Matters
Perhaps one of the most practical ideas introduced during the workshop is the concept of energy hygiene.
Just as we accumulate physical dust throughout the day, Pranic Healing suggests we also accumulate energetic impressions through stress, difficult emotions, demanding environments, and even our own thoughts.
Modern life is filled with stimulation. Our minds generate thousands of thoughts every day. Some leave us feeling peaceful and inspired. Others create tension, anxiety, frustration, or fear. According to Pranic Healing, these emotional and mental patterns influence the condition of our energy body.
Learning how to regularly cleanse and strengthen our energetic system is viewed as an essential practice for maintaining overall wellbeing.
Meditation as Energetic Cleansing
The workshop concludes with an introduction to one of the best known practices in Pranic Healing, the Meditation on Twin Hearts. This guided meditation focuses on activating both the heart chakra, associated with loving kindness and compassion, and the crown chakra, associated with higher consciousness and our connection to universal energy.

Rather than simply helping participants relax, the meditation is intended as a process of energetic purification and renewal. Many people describe the experience as feeling like standing beneath an invisible waterfall, releasing accumulated stress while cultivating greater clarity, calm, and inner balance.
Whether someone is completely new to energy work or simply curious to explore a different perspective on wellbeing, the Meditation on Twin Hearts offers a gentle yet profound introduction to the practice.

A Practical Introduction
The Introduction to Pranic Healing is designed for beginners. No previous experience is required, only curiosity and an open mind.
Participants leave with a foundational understanding of the energy body, practical exercises for developing energetic awareness, and simple techniques that can become part of everyday self-care. Perhaps the greatest insight is that caring for ourselves extends beyond the physical body. Just as physical hygiene supports health, energy hygiene invites us to cultivate greater clarity, resilience, and balance from the inside out.
